Ramaa The Saviour 2010

Director: Hadi Abrar
Writer: Reshu Nath (story) and 1 more credit
Stars: Ananya, Tanushree Dutta and Sahil Khan

Sequences of action movie that has been directed by Peter Hein, are very absorbent. Sejal Shah is pretty good behind the camera and some of the landscape shots, especially the cliffs and rocks are quite surprising. The music was composed by the duo of Siddharth and Suhas and is energetic and pleasing to the ear.

While the director should be commended for its unique and innovative idea, you just wish that the writing was so unique as well. A little imagination on the part of writers who really could have elevated the level of this film. At best, “Branch El Salvador remains not only attractive and exciting. As adults, are probably not as attractive and refreshing to see as children. Saahil like Tarzan as a superhero, Rama, look at your hand and fits into the role of Rama quite well.

Tanusree as Samara is competent and does a good job with action scenes. The Great Khali, of course, is no actor, but you can excuse that as he is great in his own field and do the best you can do. Definitely looks the part. But of course, one is never sure what his connection is to Rama and why he attacked the girl in the beginning. That remains a mystery. Kalli Taleb as the villain is menacing enough to adapt to his role, but acts not really needed here. Continue reading Ramaa The Saviour 2010 (part 6/7)

Rama is the only person who can guide the treasure Kalli and therefore his capture along with the children. This is where the script goes a bit crazy as Samara suddenly switches sides and joins Rama and his band of children. They are pursued by Kalli and his men and then the final battle takes place between Kalli and branch. Kalli seems to be getting the best of Rama in the battle to the major Valli and invests it appears with special powers. Now, armed with special powers and with the help of two of the children in the game console, Rama emerges as the winner and the world is saved from the terror of Kalli. The game is over and children find themselves back in the game room.

Despite the various loopholes in the screenplay, the film manages to be very attractive. Children with their various eccentricities add color to the proceedings and are undoubtedly one of the bright spots in the film. All children handle their parts to play well and do a very good show. It is interesting socio-economic gap between rich and middle class children who performed very well by the director. Continue reading Ramaa The Saviour 2010 (part 5/7)
