The 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup is the tenth Cricket World Cup and is being played in Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka. It is Bangladesh’s first time co-hosting a World Cup. All matches in the World Cup will be accorded One Day International status, with all matches being played over 50 overs. Fourteen national cricket teams will compete in the tournament, including ten full members and four associate members. The World Cup will take place between February and early April 2011, with the first match played on 19 February 2011 with co-hosts India and Bangladesh facing off at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka. The opening ceremony was held on 17 February 2011 at Bangabandhu National Stadium, Dhaka, two days before the start of the tournament, with the final on 2 April 2011 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Runa Laila, Sabina Yasmin Mumtaz and are the three singers from Bangladesh, Sonu Nigam from India to sing songs in languages of South Asia, along with “De Ghuma Ke” song, which will be sung by Loy, and Shankar Ehsan. This song is in Hindi, Bengali and English.
2011 Cricket World Cup features 49 matches. 14 teams will play these games. Will continue for six weeks before his final game in Mumbai.

ICC President Ehsan Mani said the extra time taken by the Asian bloc to deliver its portfolio of compliance with the tender offer was hurt by four nations. However, when it came time to vote, Asia won the hosting rights by seven votes to three. The Pakistan Cricket Board has revealed that it was the vote of the West Indies Cricket Board opened the case, since the Asian supply with the support of the four bidding countries along with South Africa and Zimbabwe. It was reported in Pakistani newspaper Dawn that Asian countries pledged to undertake fund-raising events for the West Indies cricket during the 2007 World Cup, which may have influenced the vote. The International Criminal Court originally announced its decision on which countries host the World Cup 2011, April 30, 2006. Australia and New Zealand also bid for the tournament, and a successful bid of Australasia for the 2011 World Cup have seen a 50-50 in the games, with the final still under negotiation. The Trans-Tasman offering, across borders, was the only bid for 2011 delivered at the ICC headquarters in Dubai before the deadline of 1 March. Considerable background in the supply of Australasia was the top places and infrastructure, and the full support of both New Zealand and Australia governments in tax and customs during the tournament, according to Cricket Australia chief executive James Sutherland. The World Cup should also be co-hosted by Pakistan, but following the attack in 2009 on the national cricket team in Sri Lanka in Lahore, the International Cricket Council (ICC) decided to strip Pakistan of their right to housing. The headquarters of the organizing committee is originally in Lahore, but now have moved to Bombay. Pakistan is supposed to have 14 games, including a semifinal.
